Machines and Equipment

Cottam Diecasting’s zinc and aluminum die-casting departments are equipped with Hot-Chamber machines from 80 tons to 800 tons, and Cold-Chamber machines from 350 tons to 1,100 tons. Our machining department is supported with 5 production CNC machining centers as well as a CNC turning center and various automated tapping, drilling and assembly machines. Additionally, we offer shot-blasting capabilities as well as vibratory finishing in ceramic or steel media.

Our initiative to add automation with the introduction of 6-axis robots to our die casting machines complementing our existing automation providing a greater degree of flexibility and reduced part to part production time over the older dedicated equipment previously used.
